Cross Talk 2017
One of our favorite and most special nights here at K-2 is called Cross Talk. We get to share stories and present a real life picture of the gospel as we reenact the crucifixion scene.
As the gates to K-2 have closed, we are so thankful for the summer of 2016 and all that the Lord did here! We are sad that Kamp is officially over but we are already looking forward to the summer of 2017. We have been overjoyed by everything this summer and are so thankful for everyone who helped us make it the best summer yet! We laughed, we learned and we allowed God to do immeasurable more than we could ever imagine!
This summer we learned what it meant to Run Free. Psalm 119:32 says, “I shall run the way of Your commandments, for You will enlarge my heart.” Each and every day this summer our Kampers learned what it looks like to surrender their life to Jesus daily and truly run free, in the way of God’s commandments. Throughout the summer, we had 84 Kampers give their lives to Christ for the first time, 197 Kampers rededicated their lives to Christ and hundreds continued to grow in their relationship.
Parents, we would love to thank each and every one of you that allowed your Kamper to come to Kamp this summer and entrust them to us. We loved getting to know every Kamper and spending time with them, so thank you for trusting us and for your encouragement and dedication this summer. Thank you for raising kids who want to Run Free!
Kampers, you all are awesome! You are the kids that are going to be great leaders. Kamp and K-2 would not be the same if it were not for you! Thanks for teaching and encouraging our counselors and staff, loving others well and making a difference back home in your schools. Thanks for letting us encourage you in your relationship with God and being a great friend.
Staff, thank you for coming to work at Kamp this summer! Whether you were a counselor, maintenance man, office girl, kitchen staff, UC, point man or on the leadership team- thank you for coming together for the purpose of serving the Lord, serving the Kampers and pouring out love and joy. We love the humility you walked, which made this summer incredible!
Lastly, we continue to praise God for what happened this summer. We are thankful for God doing immeasurably more than we ever could have done. We are joyful for the ability to Run Free and shine the light of Jesus to others. We are thankful for the steadfast love and comfort that the Lord gives us. We continue to praise God for the unending grace and hope that we have in Christ Jesus. We truly are blown away by how God moved this summer and how He continues to transform hearts daily.
Once again, thanks to everyone who was apart of our summer and making it incredible. To stay updated with Kanakuk throughout the year, make sure to follow our social media pages:
