K-Kountry has a legendary tradition of honoring Kampers in the form of the Bumblebee Award. You might be thinking to yourself, "What is the Bumblebee Award?" Believe it or not, scientists say that bumblebees should not be able to fly because of their incredibly small wings and large bodies. However, the bumblebee doesn't take no for an answer and with determination flies anyway. Just as the bumblebee works hard, we have K-Kountry Kampers that work hard and possess determination in all they do! The Bumblebee Award is given out to deserving Kuks and Komos after sport clinics in the morning. Our K-Kountry clinics include basketball, football, soccer, dance, gymnastics, baseball, tennis and all-sport. During Bumblebee, each clinic performs a short skit where they introduce themselves as all sorts of fun characters. Kampers are then awarded and honored for their encouraging attitudes, determination, and enthusiasm that morning. Each Kamper is honored and given a very special Bumblebee award.
We love to find creative ways to celebrate how the Lord has created each and every Kamper. We believe that every single one of them is fearfully and wonderfully made and can excel with encouragement and support. Bumblebee is another way we use fun to uplift our kids and show them the love that Jesus has for them.
"Therefore encourage one another and build up one another, just as you also are doing." Thessalonians 5:11
