The time has come. Ten weeks have come to an end. What an amazing summer it has been! The Lord has been faithful and worked in huge ways this entire summer. We are so grateful to have been a small part in all He continues to do.
This summer we laughed, we had fun and we learned more about this incredible God we serve. Throughout the summer we maximized our theme verses in all we did!
“And He said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’” Matthew 22:37-39
It was an honor to walk alongside eachother and spur one another on to put God first, the other fellow second, and ourselves third.
We also wanted to take a second and thank all of the individuals that made this summer the best one yet!
Parents, thank you for sending your kids to Kamp! We loved getting to know every Kamper and spending time with them, so thank you for entrusting them to us. And thank you again for your dedication and encouragement this summer.
Kampers, you all are so fun!! From ziplining, to swimming, to playing sports—you made this summer a blast! We’re already counting the days to Summer 2018! Kamp would not be Kamp without you guys! It has been an absolute privilege to get to know you all. You all are growing up to be such incredible leaders and we know the Lord is going to continue to use you in huge ways.
Staff, thank you thank you thank you. Thank you for coming together to this place for the purpose of serving the Lord. Whether you were a maintenance man, a counselor, an office girl, kitchen staff, or on the leadership team- thank you for your dedication and dependence on the Lord the last ten weeks. You made this summer one for the books and we’re thrilled to see how the Lord uses you this year!
Well, that’s it folks. That’s a wrap. We are in complete awe every single summer of how the Lord continues to use this place to bring kids to Him. We are joyful for the ability to live the “I’m Third” lifestyle and shine the light of Jesus to others. And we are overwhelmingly grateful that He chooses us to do this thing we call Kamp. We truly are blown away by how God moved this summer and how He continues to transform hearts daily.
