Trunks are packed. Bunks are ready. Counselors are hype. There's an excited whisper in the air: "Kids are coming."
The saddest day at Kamp is the day each term comes to an end.
After a week full of blobbing, climbing, playing, zipping, tubing, and cheering, the day has come for Kampers to return to their homes. It's a bittersweet day, a day of parting, but also a day of excitement as kids go back home refreshed and ready to share what they did and how they grew at Kamp.
Closing day starts off like any other day: breakfast, Base Kamp, morning activities, then lunch. After lunch, kids go to the Lookout to watch their term video and prepare to say goodbye. The real excitement begins when parents arrive and the reunions begin!
Parents can watch their Kampers receive individual Teepee awards for the character qualities they displayed throughout the week.
Then, All-Kamp awards begin, which include a brief message from Keith, awards for outstanding Kampers, and CRAZY amounts of cheering! After All-Kamp awards, Kampers who wish to be baptized can do so down at Table Rock.
Then, it's time for the final goodbyes as we send Kampers back home equipped with a love for God and excited for the next summer at K-Seven!
