Over the years, Kanakuk has become known for its tribal competitions.
Upon arrival, our Kampers are placed in a tribe.
Girls will either be Kickapoos or Kiowas and boys will either be Cherokees or Choctaws.
Throughout the week the tribes compete against each other for the title of term champion.
Each tribe is led by a chief or princess that is elected by our oldest Kampers.
The chiefs and princesses participate in Biblical training throughout the school year and come prepared to lead their tribe spiritually, athletically, and socially.
This tradition is a blast for our Kampers and is sure to create lasting memories!!
