We did it! All five terms at K-West have come and gone. Summer 2016 has been put to rest at Kanakuk K-West.
K-Life 4 of the term is incredible! As always, we kick it off with a dance party followed by a couple really fun games. We then get to see updates in the ongoing skit by our programs team!
As the night progresses, we sing a few worship songs then get to listen to Kevin Harrison, our new Assistant Men’s Director and the former Director of Kirksville K-Life, continue in our series through Hebrews 12:1-2. Kevin stresses the importance of running freely in the true grace of God. He also uses other scripture references. The first is Philippians 3:10-11 which says, “that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death; in order that I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.” And second verse he pulls from is 2 Timothy 4:7 which says, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith.”
Kevin emphasizes the importance of running the race and doing it well. We have to be able to fully understand what Jesus did for us in order to genuinely walk in obedience. This life is worth living with purpose and we are commanded to do so. Let’s be bold in the way we live and carry out the gospel! It’s a privilege to glorify God and we will be blessed in praising his name. We will continue to pray for your kiddos as they hear truth day in and day out. Let’s run freely towards Jesus! Obedience is worth it.
