Sam Heneger’s baseball team, the SME Lancers, won first place in the Kansas State 14A baseball tournament this past weekend! Way to go, Sam!!

K-2 Kamper huge asset to winning basketball team!

This year Tessie received the Leadership Award for her outstanding performance this year on her varsity basketball team. Tessie's team upset a highly state ranked team that was 22 and 0; in the first round of regional play. In this game Tessie scored 24 points. In addition to her basketball play she also marched for her school's band playing the French horn. She is looking forward to be with her friends once again at Kanakuk. Way to go, Tessie!!!




Kanakuk Golf Kamper achieves Eagle rank . . .

Zach Webb (age 16) advanced to the rank of Eagle Scout with Troop 161 of the Boy Scouts of America. Zach has attended kamp since the age of 6 and is returning on July 7th to K-Golf for his 11th summer at Kanakuk. We are PROUD of you, Zach!!

Kanakuk Klassic Kamper graduates with honors:

Six year Kanakuk Kamper, Lauren Scism, graduated Farmington High School with the class of 2008. She was a member of the National Honors Society, Knightline dance team, and a homecoming candidate. She has been accepted to attend MIZZOU where she will enter as a sophomore, majoring in psychology. Shine brightly for Him, Lauren!

Cooper Kelemen’s basketball team won the Homeschool National Basketball Championship in Oklahoma City in March! Way to go team!!!

Morgan Ball was very courageous and motivated to get into shape this summer, so she signed up for the neighborhood's swim team. Her first swim team experience at age 14 and guess what? - she placed 1st in 2 events and 2nd in 2 events. Strong Work Morgan!

Kanakuk Klassic Kamper selected for Scholar’s Prog

Katie Scism was one of 200 5th-9th graders invited to attend Mineral Area Colleges' summer Scholar's Program. The students were recommended by their school. Katie has an "A" average at St Josephs Catholic School. The June 23rd article appeared at www.mydjconnection.com. Good job, Katie!
