What is the Ohana Discipleship Program?

K-Kauai offers a unique and exciting opportunity for high school students to experience a week “in training” as a staff member at Family Kamp! Join our family, the ‘Ohana,’ for a week of discipleship, community, fun and service in the Ohana Discipleship Program (ODP)!

ODP participants will learn what it means to truly minister to others through service. ODP staff will serve in several different roles: shadowing a counselor, maintenance, and kitchen staff etc. Our hope is that…

– Only open to participants who are 15-18 years old.

– Program will have a dedicated leadership staff person to supervise and lead the group.

– In order to preserve the Family Kamp experience, Kampers are not allowed to enroll in the ODP program during the same term their family is enrolled at K-Kauai as a family.

– Program is a 1 week commitment.

– Program is a volunteer program: K-Kauai will provide room and food.

– Participants will be provided a highly coveted K-Kauai staff shirt and a one of a kind ODP shirt. 

– There is a limited number of spots available each week for boys and girls.

– In alignment with our health and safety standards, each term MUST have a min. of 3 participants before the term will take place. If fewer than 3 sign up for any one term we will work with you to find a term that meets our min.

– All registrations will be first come, first served.

– ODP’s are required to be dropped off on Saturday by 2:00 pm on the beginning day of their term.

– ODP’s are required to be picked up no later than 12:00 pm on the last day of their term.
