POSITION DETAILS

Kamp nurses are hired for 1-Week terms with the opportunity to work multiple weeks and must have a Missouri or Multi-State license and a current CPR certification. Kamp nurses are responsible for reviewing the medical conditions of current Kampers and staff, administering all medication, providing safe nursing care, maintaining accurate documentation, and communicating with Kampers’ parents and Kamp Directors, while also collaborating with the Kamp physician to develop a care plan for injured or ill Kampers and staff. 
 

All meals and air-conditioned housing conveniently located on Kamp property are provided for your term. Our team of Kamp nurses and support staff bunk together based on gender — you will need to bring twin-sized linens, towels, and toiletries for your stay. Health Center lodging also features a refrigerator, coffee pot, and microwave. 

Kanakuk Nurses enjoy special perks like a weekly wage, Kamp tuition discount, and, in some cases, reserved registrations for children of Kamp nurses if their preferred Kamp term is waitlisted. While at Kamp, our team enjoys a discount at the Kanakuk Store, access to Kamp amenities, a summer staff Bible study, and scheduling flexibility so our team can attend their child’s Closing Ceremony at the end of their term.

If a Missouri or Multistate professional nursing license is obtained for this job, Kanakuk will reimburse up to $120 of expenses related to acquiring this license. Please submit the license reimbursement form above after your scheduled summer assignment.
