History

Located in the Ozarks and founded 100 years ago, Kanakuk operates as a fun-filled summer camp that specializes in developing Biblical knowledge and athletics, empowering kids to greater courage, confidence, and character. With over 70 activities on-site, we empower Kampers through providing opportunities based on their interests. We believe in the power of mentorship and developing courage through fun-filled activities, giving Kampers a truly transformative summer camp experience.

At Kanakuk, we instill the “I’m Third” mentality: God first, others second, and ourselves third. Kampers learn the value of servant leadership at Kanakuk, following Christ’s example of humility, truth, and love. Each overnight camp offers a fun-filled balance of both faith- and athletic-development, with sports and adventures led by college athletes. Our coaches have both athletic ability and Christlike character to ensure each Kamper gets the best of sports and spiritual growth, providing a one-of-a-kind summer camp experience.

Mission

Equipping Next Generation Leaders is more than our mission, it is our heartbeat. Since 1926, Kanakuk has welcomed over 450,000 Kampers from across the country and around the world, equipping them with leadership skills and Biblical truths to impact their schools and communities as examples of Jesus Christ.
